In and around Switzerland.<\/p>\r\n
\"floating hangouts\" with Thomas Horvath in Zurich. And a couple of kite festivals in and around Switzerland. You can test zero wind kites, hopefully without wind.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

April<\/h2>\r\nHangout Easter Monday, Stadionbrache in Zurich\r\nApril 10, 2023:<\/span>\r\nLet's get started: Floating in Zurich, for those at home. A relaxed alternative to the return traffic jam on Gotthard. Easter Monday is new. From around 2 pm.\r\nA part of the stadium wasteland is occupied, but there remains enough space for us in the northern third of the hard place. Only in very suitable weather. In case of wind or rain from 16:00 in the studio kite lab. But the brut promenade wall and the hotel monoliths are appealing a lot.\r\n\r\nArtevento Cervia\r\nApril 22 to May 1, 2023:\r\nThe 43th<\/sup> International Kite Festival on the beach of the Adriatic near Rimini. For many years the artist Claudio Capelli and his daughter Caterina have been organizing this beautiful, cosy meeting, including La Notte dei Miracoli. 43\u00b0 Festival Internazionale dell'Aquilone.\r\n
May<\/h2>\r\nKite Festival Sch\u00f6fflisdorf\r\nMay 13 and May 14, 2023:\r\nDrachenfest Sch\u00f6fflisdorf. Saturday from 1 pm, Sunday from 10 am. By S-Bahn from Hardbr\u00fccke 20 minutes from Zurich. The 29th<\/sup> Kite Festival of the Drachenclub Wehntal. The atmosphere is always very pleasant and Horvath often drops by on Sunday.\r\n\r\nHangout Whit Monday, Stadionbrache in Zurich\r\nMay 29, 2023:<\/span>\r\nZero wind floating in Zurich, for those who stayed at home. The clever alternative to the return traffic jam on Gotthard. Whit Monday has tradition, there are rather few, but interesting people. June<\/h2>\r\n39th International Kite Fliers Meeting Fan\u00f8\r\nJune 15 to June 18, 2023:\r\nKite meeting on Fan\u00f8 DK. Various interesting workshops, partly with historical kites. Endless flat beaches and kites from all over the world. There are also moments without wind and the traditional kite auction.\r\n
September<\/h2>\r\nHangout somewhere in Zurich \u2026<\/span>\r\n\r\nBasel Kite Festival\r\nOn a Sunday in September, probably:\r\nAn urban meeting in the Park im Gr\u00fcnen, formerly called Park Green-80, afternoon. If you show up early, then there might still be parking spaces, but public transport is definitely the relaxed option. Organized by Dani Wieland, play4you, 11 am \u2013 5 pm.\r\n
October<\/h2>\r\nHangout somewhere in Zurich \u2026<\/span>\r\n\r\nKite Festival Fislisbach\r\nSunday October 22, 2023:\r\nNear Baden, Aargau Switzerland. Drachenplausch.ch traditionally organizes the last kite festival of the year. Christoph Gehrig moderates, including possibly the rare flights of phenomenal Stefan Furter. Unfortunately it's often wet and cold.\r\n
November<\/h2>\r\nGifts:\r\n\r\nOrder kites as christmas presents at horvath.ch early, especially in the European Union. The postal services and the customs are usually a bit slower just before Christmas. US Postal Service is very reliable.\r\n

Get some advantage with thick socks, warm shoes, warm jacket, warm gloves, warm cap, etc. Somewhere in Zurich, afternoon. Stadionbrache Zurich:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\r\n\r\nFloating hangouts with kites on the Stadionbrache Hardturm in 8048 Zurich.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n
The Hardturm Stadium was demolished. The grandstand foundations made of charming concrete are framing the now asphalted playing surface and are perfect for hanging around. The spacious place for urban floating. The whole area will be built over some day, so we hang out a few times, as long as possible, again on the stadium wasteland.<\/p>\r\n
